PKD Road Warrior Tour
October 2000 marks the official beginning of the PKD Road Warriors’ cross-country “PKD Publicity Drive” to raise awareness and funding for research leading to a cure. On behalf of the 12-15 million people worldwide affected by Polycystic Kidney Disease, Cecilia Maida - a PKD sufferer, along with her dog Max, (the “PKD Road Warriors”) will drive thousands of miles across the country to raise media attention, general public awareness and to raise funding for research to find a cure for the disease.
