Another exciting change is Pocketmail users can now access their mail using IMAP, which is a more effective way of accessing and managing email. With IMAP, all mail is stored on PocketMail's servers meaning customers can access and manage their mail, calendar events and personal information in real time, from any Internet connection or device. Once you have converted your account, you will be able to directly access your email using Outlook Express, Eudora, or your favorite email client that supports the IMAP protocol.
To begin using these exciting new features, you will need to convert your account Please be aware that the conversion is permanent. Once you have converted your account, you will only be able to access your email via http://mail.pocketmail.com.
To begin using the new IMAP WebMail service, you must first convert your mailbox to IMAP by clicking on the CONVERT button located at http://mail.pocketmail.com. The Website will ask you for your username (the first part of your PocketMail email address) and password.
You will then see a page asking you to CONVERT to the new IMAP server. Please press the CONVERT button. Once your PocketMail account has converted you will be able to use the new version of PocketMail WebMail to send and receive emails. Please use all of the features. Send and receive emails, delete emails and resend them etc.
In conjunction with viewing and using the new PocketMail WebMail site please use your PocketMail device. The new IMAP protocol has changed the way that we handle your email. It is important that we can confirm that your email is still being handled correctly when you use your PocketMail device.

IMAP protocol (rather than POP)
Server: imap.pocketmail.com
Use these settings once you have converted your account.
