The Patriot Line
Purpose: To promote Unity and Patriotism.
Goal: To relay the symbol of our freedom, a flag, by foot from Portland Oregon to New York City.
Route: Beginning at the Ankeny Stage on the Waterfront in Portland Oregon, south to Los Angeles California, east to Oklahoma City Oklahoma, North-east to Washington D.C. and then north to the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

AC: How did you hear about PocketMail?
EM: I heard about pocketmail through the PR Director of AAA Oregon\Idaho. I was having a difficult time getting my laptop to a docking station while on the road in a motorhome while in rural areas I have had great difficulties with communication since I have been limited to a cel phone. Now I can simply compose as many emails as a need, then send them through a pay phone! Amazing!
AC: How can people interested in your cause learn more?

AC: How can someone help you or help this extraordinary cause?
EM: For anyone who would like to offer help, there are two ways to participate: 1) Contact me for an assigned spot to carry the flag; or, 2) Give assistance by helping line up people to carry the flag in any area along our course.
AC: Any real-world advice for anyone trying or doing the same sort of thing (or something similar)?
EM: Real-world advice.You never know what life has to offer you, so open yourself up to it all. My life with The Patriot Line is ever changing. As with life in general, I will be most successful if I stay as flexible as I can. One thing that I have learned through the eyes of others this last month is to never say no to the unknown. Repeatedly, people have commented that they had no idea what an impact this event would have on their lives. We never know what will impact our lives. Experience as much as possible.
